Skull And Crossbones Dome Paperweight
A little danger for the desk. Beneath this luminous dome, a Victorian skull-and-crossbones floats like a secret insignia—equal parts apothecary label and Jolly Roger. It’s a wink to the bold and the curious, the universal glyph for “handle with care,” turned into a talisman for people who prefer their stationery with a story.
Handcrafted in our New York studio, the artwork is applied in the French tradition of découpagé, laid in reverse beneath crystal-clear glass, sealed with fine varnishes, and polished until every ink hatch and bone-white highlight is magnified to perfection. The dome is weighty French crystal: cool in the hand, substantial on the page, and made to tame unruly manuscripts and sea-swept maps alike.
The back is lined in soft felt to protect your surfaces; a folded card accompanies each piece, sharing the time-honored craft behind it. At 3.5" across, it’s compact but commanding- the size of a paperweight, with the presence of a cabinet-of-curiosities find.
For writers, collectors, and anyone who likes a little mischief with their mise-en-place.
