Ben's Garden

Library Reserve Decoupage Glass Tray

$40

The hush of a library at dusk. Leather spines burnished by a century of hands. Gilt lettering catching the last light of afternoon. This tray captures a row of storied British studies volumes— vintage editions that once held Darwin's theories, marine algae studies, and the elegant rigor of Victorian scholarship. It is a portrait of curiosity itself: orderly, luminous, enduring.

Handcrafted in our New York studio in the French tradition of decoupage, each image is laid in reverse beneath glass so the details gleam with remarkable depth — the gold tooling, the softened cloth bindings, the patina of time.

The bent-glass form is substantial yet refined, and each tray is individually signed by Ben. Food-safe and wipe-clean with a felted back, it moves effortlessly from study to salon — holding correspondence on a desk, citrus beside a decanter, or resting upright on a gallery easel like a quiet still life. Each piece arrives with a folded card describing the centuries-old craft.

A gift for bibliophiles, Anglophiles, and anyone who believes knowledge is its own kind of luxury.
