Ben's Garden
Handwritten Chopin Sheet-Music Decoupage Glass Tray
A love letter to the piano at midnight. This tray captures the electricity of handwritten score — inking crescendos, feverish cross-staff arpeggios, and the breath marks where a composer paused to listen. It feels intimate and alive, like standing at Chopin's shoulder as poetry becomes music. In our New York studio the artwork is applied in the French tradition of decoupage, laid in reverse beneath crystal glass, sealed with fine varnishes, then burnished until the notes seem to float. Each piece is individually signed by Ben. The surface is smooth, food-safe, and wipes clean; the back is felted so it lands softly on marble or wood. A folded card accompanies every tray, sharing the time-honored process. Beautiful on a gallery easel or hung with a plate hanger when not in use. A small stage for olives and coupes, for rings and fountain pens — scored with the elegance of the Romantic era.
